LiveScribe Pulse Smartpen

This is another in a string of attempts, Walt notes, to add a simple computer to a penlike device that records words and can pinpoint their location in the recording when the user taps the handwritten version on a sheet of paper.

The “mobile-computing platform” (those are LiveScribe founder Jim Marggraff’s words) consists of: the Smartpen, a fountain-pen-sized computer with audio/visual feedback and memory for handwriting capture, audio recording and applications; paper with Dot Positioning System technology that creates interactive documents using plain paper printed with microdots; software applications, including audio/ink capture, handwriting recognition and Internet connectivity; and tools for consumers and developers to create, publish and share new applications and content online. You can even store your notes directly from the device into a computer.

One application: A student sitting in a classroom taking notes can download them into a desktop computer and manipulate them in many ways. ( “So one student in a class of 150 could come take notes and sell them to 150?” Walt asked. “What a country.”) That same student can archive the notes and search them for review purposes (cramming for an exam), as well as searching the recorded audio version of those notes.

P/S : What a coolz gadgetz..can't wait to have an exam again..!!

Tamiya TRF416

TAMIYA RC TRF416 Chassis Kit

In recent years, world-class on-road R/C touring car race events have encouraged the use of brushless motors in conjunction with event-controlled tires. To achieve success under such conditions, a fine balance must be achieved between handling and tire wear. It is with this in mind that Tamiya designers developed the concept of the brand new TRF416 chassis.

PSP Dock Cradle

PSP Dock Cradle

We love our red PSP 2000 alot. We love the enhanced graphics, the Skype capability, and especially the TV output feature. We don't love the lack of remote and docking station though, especially when using the TV out functions of the PSP. Maybe it's because we use the PSP Camera to shoot photos & movies that we then like to display for our friends and family on their TV, but it's always been very inconvenient not having some sort of docking station or remote control. Sony's finally wised up to this (seriously guys, what took so long?) and released this nifty docking cradle with remote that will both charge your and output your PSP 2000 to your TV provided you have the right cables.
